Gili Shark Conservation Project was an incredible experience. I did my Dive Master course during this time and learned a lot about myself as a diver and marine conservation. We did survey dives four to five times a week where we record the indicator species, did BRUV drops and inputted data into our online resources. All of the staff and local people around the island are welcoming and it was a fun environment to learn in. You won't find such a rich culture on any other project. I really enjoyed the freedom we were allowed on the project to do what we wanted with our weekends, whether it was more dive experience or traveling to other island in the surrounding area.
