Organization Description
This organisation was established and is being spearheaded by none other than Moses(son of the Late Patrick).A reflection of Moses' career trajectory is as indicated below:
First of all,his mother divorced when he was still young.So, he attended many primary schools incuding Kakira Madhvani P/s,Bituli P/s,Mawoito Church of Uganda P/s all within Jinja district before rejoining his mother at Nawanyago village married to a headmaster of Budhatemwa P/s.Being a technocrat of education,he(Step Father)had set up a conducive reading/learning environment at his home!
As such,Moses is a product of Nawanyago Primary school within Kamuli district where he completed and sat his Primary Leaving Education(PLE) passing with flying colours!

He gained admission into the reknown Namilyango college(a.k.a N'GO) in the history of Education in Uganda for his Ordinary level(Senior 1 to senior 4).Namilyango College was the first school to be established in Uganda way back in 1902 by the Mill Hill Fathers.In other words, before education spread in Uganda,it was already at Namilyango!

Emerging as the best Uganda certificate of education candidate at Namilyango College, he proceeded to St.Mary's college,Kisubi(a.k.a SMACK-established in 1906) for his Advanced certificate of education(Senior 5 to Senior 6).Reason being that SMACK was stronger in sciences than N'GO at A-Level more so,the Mathematics ''Wizard'' teacher (an Old Boy of SMACK) who had been the first African Education Minister in Uganda since its independence on 9th October 1962.He was admitted on a combination of Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics(PCM).Moses' intention was to become an Engineer but his late maternal uncle had warned him not to join the Engineering profession because his late uncle had been thrown by his co-workers into a hot boiler of a Copper refining industry of kilembe mines in Jinja town out of hatred due to difference in work skills! His life was only saved by other workers but sustained wounds at the back of his neck that left behind huge scars after healing!

This issue was compounded in Moses' mind when a former teacher of his at Namilyango college who was pursuing a bachelor of Commerce degree course at Makerere university then joined SMACK as a Subsidiary Mathematics teacher advised Moses to change the combination to Mathematics,Economics and Geography(MEG) saying MEG had better future prospects compared to PCM.The teacher had himself done MEG at A-Level. So towards the end of first term of Senior 5,Moses persuaded the Headmaster of SMACK with difficulty to cross over to MEG from PCM.The Headmaster first weighed Moses' performance in the two combinations based on his O-Level results.He had obtained Aggregates:(P=1,C=2,M=1,Total=4) and(M=1,E=Commerce=1,G=3,Total=5).He finally succeeded in his efforts of joining the MEG class!

In September 2006,Moses (Executive Director) ,who(had received sponsorship twice courtesy of the Government of the Republic of Uganda) first pursued a Uganda Diploma in business Studies at Makerere University Business School and Bachelor of Statistics(Computing option) later at Makerere University Main campus, asked the Lord for a good job. In response,God gave him Isaiah 45:2-3 as his "Job Description". This scripture is used as our Faith Statement and it says:

Verse 2: I will go before you and will level the mountains ; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron
Verse 3: I will give you the treasures of darkness,riches stored in secret places so that you you may know that Iam the Lord , the God of Israel who summons you by name.

The following day, the executive Director of Dwelling Places went to Radio simba ( a local radio station)requesting people to join hands with her as volunteers. This was in a bid to serve the street children in kampala city under the umbrella of Heralds Initative. Moses joined Dwelling places in the Family empowerment programme and while there,he was sponsored to attend the Watoto conference which ran from 18th-22nd October 2006. It was then that Moses realised God was calling him to serve the less fortunate and underprivileged people.

After the conference, Moses together with his mother(Catherine-Family Empowerment Officer) and sister(Irene-General Secretary) who all grew up as orphans and some other like minded people founded Children and Women Christian Support Foundation,Uganda(CWCSF) on 20thJune 2008. The certificate of registration as an NGO by the NGO Board in Uganda was issued on the 5thNovember2008 under NO.S.5914/7791. It has 6 Board members of which 3 are male and 3 female.

The foundation mostly targets: orphans, vulnerable children, people living with HIV/AIDs, underprivileged women and the elderly.

LOCATION: CWCSF is located at Mawoito village (Bubiiro East LC1 zone), Kaiira Parish ,Buwenge Rural Subcounty (5 km away from Buwenge town council-Jinja District). It is just in a stone's throw on the path leading to Buwenge -Matuumu Road( a.k.a Kayaka Road).
We have also been operating in a rented room at Kasubi in Kampala city but would like to concentrate most of our activities at Mawoito village in Jinja district.

MISSION: To support and equip the underprivileged people with excellent educational skills ,better health, good christian moral values and economic development in collaboration with other organisations for God's glory.

VISION: Empowering the less fortunate and underprivileged families for self economic sustainability.

Being a non-profit making organization, we were faced with many challenges initially. We started with 177 pupils in primary and 26 students in secondary. We were just renting buildings for classrooms and could not afford paying the teachers. The Executive Director(Moses) was also still studying! Many pupils and students dropped out of school! We decided to call off the schools and embarked on agriculture.

In 2016, we resumed with 30 children(2o in lower primary and 10 in upper primary). Many pupils and students are in villages,would like to study but we lack teachers to assist them. It is the reason why we are looking for dedicated volunteers.

We are now operating from our own land in temporary(Makeshift-timber)buildings. We have some 10,000 burnt bricks but still need to make more for construction of permanent buildings and our 20 feet deep double toilet.

Uganda is a beautiful country gifted by nature that is why Churchhill (the British) called it "The Pearl of Africa". In agriculture, we grow bananas intercropped with beans(on raised beds with trenches that retain water),cassava .sweet and irish potatoes, maize,groundnuts,yams,coco-yams, cabbages,onions,straw berries,soy beans and other green vegetables. In our orchard, you will find lots of avocados,jackfruits,mangoes,oranges,lemon and guavas. On these trees, passion fruits are grown.

We are currently rearing one local cow,some pigs,goats and do poultry keeping. Volunteers are indeed needed in these areas including mushroom growing, baking cakes and making Altar wine from our fruits.

On our 5-acre piece of land, is found an all season well which could be developed into a fishing pond to supplement the diet of children. Our area lacks hydro electric power and as such, there is need to have solar power. We also need to get safe drinking water on our land for the children.

We have decided to keep our costs so low for the volunteers because we are interested in getting both short term volunteers(1 week-24 weeks) and Long term volunteers(1year-2years). It costs you $2352 USD only to volunteer with us for the whole year. We need both male and more of female volunteers. They will be able to learn our Uganda culture ,visit the prestigious Makerere university, some of the tourist sites like the source of the River Nile, Wild game parks, Kasubi tombs(burial ground for the Buganda kings), enjoy our Busoga traditional group dancers and go swimming at River Nile which is 5 km away from our site.

For construction and renovation, volunteer tasks can include, but not limited to building, renovating, painting, landscaping and bricklaying. Volunteers do not need prior building experience to participate on this project, as they work alongside a local foreman to complete the work, but skilled workers are very welcome. We are looking for keen, interested and passionate volunteers. We need to have a medical centre for treatment of our pupils, students,staff and the community at large.Volunteers in this area are highly welcome.

We have so far worked with volunteers from:
-Denmark in the areas of Education;
-United States of America in the areas of Human rights and Domestic violence;
-Australia in the areas of HIV/AIDs voluntary counseling and testing.

As a Faith Based Organization, we need some of the volunteers to be Born Again Christians who can conduct Sunday school services and preach(soul touch) the Word of God to the parents. Volunteers from other denominations are also welcome. Volunteers will teach subjects like English, Mathematics,Integrated Science and Social studies in Nursery and Primary. For those who want to volunteer in secondary, they will teach: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, English Language, Fine Art, Commerce, History, Geography, French,Germany, Accounts, Economics, Christian Religious Education, Divinity, Computer Literacy, Agriculture and Technical Drawing.

You do not necessarily need to be a qualified teacher; what is important is having the will and passion to teach. They should be able to carry out project management and supervision, train children in Sports Music and Drama. We need volunteers who can train women in jewellery making, crafts and market those items abroad. And volunteers who can design our Foundation's website, fund-raise and secure sponsorship for our children. Volunteers need to be 16 years and over to participate in teaching and besides this do any other areas of their interest. Volunteers are welcome to introduce new sports. Please, come along with tools or equipment to support your skills. You may as well purchase them from Uganda. Volunteers can donate to our projects at their own will and interest.

REMEMBER: Many of these vulnerable children have lost one or both of their parents as a result of HIV/AIDs epidemic.
