Once you have created a profile you are already contributing to our community.
We want being a part of the Volunteer Alliance community to be fun, interactive and interesting. Some of the ways that you can get more involved in the Volunteer Alliance community are to:
Refer your friends
This way you will have plenty of people to talk to about volunteering.
Search for Volunteers and Organizations
Chances are you signed up to Volunteer Alliance because you are interested in volunteering or having volunteers at your organization. Try searching the Volunteer Alliance community for like-minded or just plain interesting volunteers and organizations. Don’t be afraid to write someone a message, even if it is just to say I think your cool. You never know where a simple message could lead you.
Follow the Volunteer Alliance Blog
The Volunteer Alliance blog is an opportunity for us to showcase interesting volunteer stories from our members. It is also the place where we can update our members on the latest news and developments in international volunteering.
Subscribing to the blog is a great way to get involved in the Volunteer Alliance movement.
The Volunteer Alliance Forum is a series of threads on best practices in volunteering, volunteering safety and much more.
We can all learn from one another, so share your thoughts and ask a question.
The Volunteer Alliance Old School Chatrooms are a great way to meet other members, to share experiences and learn more about ....just about anything! Yeah, they're kinda old school, but that's what makes them cool.
For the super committed Volunteer Alliance member! A donation is a great way to show your support for Volunteer Alliance.
Buying Volunteer Alliance gear also helps you identify with other members. It also helps promote the Alliance to new people everywhere.
You can feel good about helping build Volunteer Alliance, and great about your sick new gear.
Get involved with the organization
For some people the above just isn’t enough.
We’ve reached this point through the dedication of a few passionate volunteers, but Volunteer Alliance is always looking to grow and welcome new people to our crew. If you have web development, marketing, PR, writing, or any other skills that could help our growing platform, and would like to join us in our quest to improve international volunteering, please contact our team at admin@volunteeralliance.org with your skills and interests and we will get back to you!
