Bio:
I am a corporate slave and a lover of life.
Volunteering Experience:
Co-founder of Bulig Isko, a small organization based in the Philippines. We are a group of U.P. (University of the Philippines) Tacloban College alumni who are living and working in Metro Manila. Our families were victims and survivors of Super Typhoon Yolanda. We all met up the day of the typhoon when we all were going crazy worrying about our families. We didn't have any means of communication so we decided to meet up and plan something to help keep each other calm. We all were watching the news and worriedly waited to see any of our family and friends be featured on TV, or at least their names. While waiting for good news, we organized collection and distribution of relief goods to Tacloban City. We've organized a variety of programs for the city including - relief distributions, parties and workshops for kids, clean up drives, and workshops for adults. I am also a member of U.P. Runggiyan, a socio-civic organization that have initiated and successfully implemented community projects. I have also worked with a political partylist and have volunteered to multiple activities including workshops for student leadership, medical missions, and livelihood programs. I feel the happiest and most successful after each project - regardless of the size and the scope.
