Bio:
I'm Siobhan; I'm 21 years old and from Glasgow, Scotland. I have recently graduated with an honours degree in Criminal Justice and I am hoping to spend some time volunteering with children and young people. I am a very friendly and non-judgemental person who enjoys helping people in any way I can. I find volunteering very satisfying as I am able to be there for individuals who possibly do not have anyone else to support or listen to them.
Volunteering Experience:
I have volunteered for the past year at a charity run organisation close to my home. The organisation aims to help children and their parents or guardian build stronger relationships. My role in this type of voluntary work is to play games with the children and their families, sit with them while having a snack and ask how their day has been, what they enjoy doing at school and how they feel about their home life - this allows the children to interact with their parents with another adult around to supervise; which they feel is easier to express their emotions. Since studying a module on human trafficking within Criminal Justice, I have been interested in volunteering with any organisations that help with victims of this type of abuse. I have no previous experience other than the modules I have studied, however, I pick things up very easily and I am a very passionate, determined and friendly individual.
Education:
Achieved a 2:1 Honours degree in Criminal Justice
Occupation:
Checkout Operator; Morrisons
