Bio:
I am a native New Yorker, and spent most of the earlier part of my life as a classical flutist. Musical studies brought me to Europe for a time. For most of my adult life, I have worked in the legal profession, and have been employed since 1999 at a firm specializing in Real Estate and banking issues, where I write, proofread, and edit commercial loan papers. Approximately 4 years ago, I began a series of courses at New York University centered upon global studies, and after completing six classes within 14 months, applied to and was accepted to graduate study at Norwich University, one of the country's oldest military academies, based in Vermont. I majored in diplomacy with a concentration in conflict resolution, graduating with a 4.0 average. While at NYU I became interested in humanitarian and sustainability issues, so during graduate school, I wrote and defended a thesis on water security and sustainability in India. At this point, I am looking forward to an opportunity to volunteer to help others, especially those that may have been displaced or marginalized by society.
Volunteering Experience:
I have taught Sunday School to children of kindergarten age through junior high school. I have also volunteered to provide music instruction, free of charge, through church. For 15 years, I was a member of an orchestra which provided free concerts to residents in the Bronx, New York.
Education:
Master of Arts in Diplomacy, 2015; B.M Music Education, 1986
Occupation:
Legal Assistant
Other Skills:
Fully computer literate and possess office administrative / management skills.
