Bio:
I am a young vibrant lady aged 23. I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship and a Bachelors degree in Social Sciences from Rhodes University. Currently, I am doing an Executive certificate in Project Monitoring and Evaluation with University of Zimbabwe. I am very passionate about community development work and working with the marginalised groups for a good cause. I am currently volunteering as a Project Assistant at a local non-governmental organisation called Zimbabwe Apiculture Trust. In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering, travelling, tutoring, cooking, playing sports and socialising.
Volunteering Experience:
During my period at Rhodes University, I was part of the Rhodes Community Engagement Department, under Sakulunthu Creative Arts School in the Grahamstown community. My duty was to educate the children on creative arts, which lead them to perform at one of the biggest National Arts Festival in South Africa. After dedicating my time to this initiative, I was awarded with a Rhodes University Engaged Scholar Award by the Community Engagement Department. Furthermore, I was also a Psychology 1 tutor at Rhodes University, and this equipped me with mentoring skills. Currently I am volunteering as a Project Assistant at a local non-governmental organisation ZimApiculture Trust which capacitates smallholder farmers on modern beekeeping practices as well as providing the vital market linkage for honey and bee products.
Education:
Postgraduate Diploma in Management (Entrepreneurship) and Bachelor of Social Sciences
Occupation:
Project Assistant
