Bio:
I have left Singapore when I was 23 years old. I now live in New Zealand. I have been divorced for five years now and have been made redundant from work since the middle of last year, end of June 2015. I have always worked all my life and since the redundant, I wasn't able to find another proper job. I stayed with my son and his family, and my grandson, once a week. On other days, I am on the internet looking and applying for any job vacancies. I recently googled for volunteer work and clicked on Vietnam. First and foremost, since I don't have an income, I couldn't afford any expenses. So the most viable choice for me would be Vietnam, plus, it's not too far away from S'pore. my hometown. My mother still lives there, she's 84 years old. I have 3 adult children, one lives in Australia, my eldest daughter has disowned me and lives with her family, about an hour away from me. My only connection I have is with my son and his family. Since my divorce, I have lost all sense of independence, I supposed being controlled all my adult life, I don't know what to do with my independence. That's when I thought of doing something useful with my life, before I get too old.
Volunteering Experience:
I have never done any volunteer work before.
Education:
I was born and studied in Singapore. I only completed my secondary 4 education in 1969.
Occupation:
Unemployed
Other Skills:
I have owned and operated a music shop, an agent for money transfer, front office cashier.
Customer sales and service at the Auckland Int. airport.
Beauty advisor for branded brands in cosmetics and fragrances.
