Bio:
Hello, my name is Robyn Roundtree and I recently graduated with my masters degree in early and elementary education. Since then I have went on to teach pre-kindergarten in summer school, and I will be teaching kindergarten in the fall. I am the oldest of six children, so I have had my fair share of care giving experience. I was also a competitive gymnasts and for the past four years I have coached a junior Olympic team in Virginia. I adore my jobs, and I want to be given the opportunity to use my talents to help others. Growing up I had a full community of people that supported me, and showed me that I could achieve anything, and I want to be that light for someone else.
Volunteering Experience:
Unfortunately the volunteer experience I have had has been minimal. I did, however, volunteer as a classroom aid for a school. I was placed in a second grade classroom and I assisted the teacher and students during my time there. I also volunteered at Goodwill for a summer. There I assisted with the collection, sorting, and distribution of clothes. Other than that my volunteer experiences have been created around my sports teams. With my teammates I have helped with recreational activities at an assisted living facility and helped raise money for local homeless shelters. I hope to open my heart and become a more frequent supplier of service. I love working with children, and my exuberant personality helps me connect with them on many levels. I am open to trying new things, and I hope to learn a lot from those around me.
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Masters of Early and Elementary Education
Occupation:
Kindergarten Teacher
Other Skills:
I can cook
I can speak a little French
I am good with technology
I hardly ever run out of energy
I love making videos (recently with a GoPro)
