Bio:
I am Reem from Egypt, Im 27 and I guess for these last seven years in my life Ive been moving among so many different disciplines of work..volunteering and study. I studied economics then find it too abstract to be real so moved to anthropology for my masters..worked as a researcher then finding it too far to touch the grounds of people's lives so worked as a teacher in so many different developmental projects for technicians, teachers, undergrads, housewives in so many different parts in my home country. Then leaving the city and staying for months in the deserts of Sinai and initiated some street activities for the Bedouin street kids living there then back to Cairo working as a preschool lead teaching coordinator. After so many moves I felt moving outside to start new learnings so I started it off with Indonesia and it's been just few days for me here but already feeling the so many opening routes for the learning..
Volunteering Experience:
I volunteered in different charity and developmental projects but I think these are my most recent ones: • Initiating a charity for street Bedouin kids in Dahab, Sinai, Egypt. Duties varied from Holding semi daily stays with the kids in the streets of Dahab, doing art works, narrating stories, singing, drawing, or just playing games with them that can boost . • Volunteer at SAFARNI children’s workshops for introducing underprivileged kids to a new culture on weekly basis. • Volunteer member in Committees of free tutoring, charity caravans, and marketing, Resala charity organization. • Facilitator in training in SOLIYA international connect program for enhancing cross cultural dialogue between the Arab world and the West through holding weekly online sessions handling pressing global issues among students from western and Arab universities.
Education:
Bsc Economics, M.A. Anthropology (American university in Cairo).
