I am a young Marketing and Advertising Professional, with an excellent professional record working for 4.5+ years with top MNCs like Procter & Gamble, L'Oreal and Tata Group. I am enthusiastic about Rural Markets and Base-of-Pyramid Consumer Segments and am fascinated by the sheer potential they hold for Consumer Goods, Health Care, Transportation, Education, Social Issues and Innovation. I am amazed (being from a developing country myself) about the sheer untapped opportunity, and I am convinced that a world with 80% population needing some form of help or another, is not the ideal world I want to live in. So I am questioning myself "What Am I Doing To Make This World A Better Place?" Not my cushy 9 to 5 job. I want to get my hands dirty. I want to do real work. I love learning new languages (I am learning Japanese!), love experimenting with food, I can instantly connect with people and am a "no-attitude" worker. Currently associated with ivolunteer (www.ivolunteer.org), an India-based organization associated with bringing Volunteers in touch with NGOs (Not-for Profits) needing specific volunteering. Currently helping NGOs deploy their Social Media Strategy. Involves: a. Educating them about "Social Media" and how it can help them in cost-effective Communication b. How to reach out to Target Audience c. How to reach Volunteers, Resources, Authorities and Corporates through Social Media d. How to get more Visibility for their work, how to use Social Media for Fundraising Currently covered: a. More than 30+ NGOs based in India in various stages of their Social Media activity b. Working on proving one-on-one Consulting for them Total Volunteering Experience 6 months (May '15 onwards)
