Bio:
I’m a senior in high school taking a gap year starting this June. I was very interested in joining VolunteerAlliance when I saw your organization listed online and really look forward to participating in the volunteer work that your organization provides, as well as the opportunity to explore the world and learn about people I wouldn't have had the chance to meet otherwise. I was wondering if you have any volunteer opportunities available for me starting August 25th. Since I'm taking the gap year I'm very available. I work well with people, can take directions well, and hope to be a valuable asset to your team.
Volunteering Experience:
In the past, I've volunteered at a local nursing home where I spent time getting to know a few members of the home. I worked at a local church caring for kids whose parents attended the Sunday Service. I worked a part time job in a local restaurant doing a variety of jobs such as sweeping, bussing, dishwashing - all the while one of my best skills has proven to be working and interacting with people of all ages. I'm really hoping to get to work outdoors doing physical work such as building new trails, eradicating invasive species, etc.
Education:
High School Graduate in June
Occupation:
Student
Other Skills:
I really enjoy working and interacting with people
I can understand and follow directions easily
I use my initiative whenever I can, and try to think a bit outside the box normally
