I am an articulate and intelligent person with great passion for a lot of things especially putting in my quota for a better world. I have great speaking and convincing skills to match with great writing skills too. I enjoy working with teams as i learn a lot from people and situations very quickly. Importantly, i work without bias of sexual, ethnic or religious inclinations, in essence, embracing diversity is in fact, my philosophy of engendering a better world for all. I am a leader and can bring forth very innovative ideas in anything i do. i love reading and listening to music as well as i like swimming.
Volunteering Experience:
1. Volunteered for Dream Alive Youth Initiative, a local NGO in awka, Anambra state. We were involved with sensitizing students of tertiary and secondary institutions on the benefits of skills and value acquisition for national development. We organized series of seminars funded by ourselves and a few well meaning individuals. We organized training workshop for university final year students on job creation and work ethics for the formal sector. We organized debate and quiz competitions for secondary school students to encourage their reading culture. 2. Volunteered for the Rotaract Club of Unizik, in awka. I was part of the sensitization team that moved through campuses and secondary schools in Anambra state teaching and sensitizing about environmental maintenance, personal hygiene and healthy/responsible living. We organized programmes for HIV/AIDS, Polio and Breast cancer sentization, distributing condoms and other readable materials for proper sensitization. 3. Volunteered for the Institute of Governance and Social Research (IGSR) in Jos, Plateau state. I was involved in designing programmes that could help youths work as agents of peace in the state after the series of violent conflicts that rocked the state. I visited about 6 local governments in the state, working with the youths and monitoring their skills acquisition programmes as sponsored by the institute. 4. Volunteered for the Millenium Development Goals (MDG) Community Development Service under the Nigerian National Youth Service Corps in Ejigbo village, Osun state. I organized sensitization programmes for secondary school students from 3 schools in the area, teaching them about the MDGs, environmental sustainability and protection as well as health related subjects related to the MDGs and how they can be parts of the wheel of change. Myself and my other volunteers in September of this year, organized a one-day free HIV/AIDS awareness, testing and counselling programme at the market square of the village.
