PROFILE OF FALADE OLUTOYIN OLUREMI (Ms) Ch MC Olutoyin Falade is the founder and executive director of Innovative Strategy for Human Development (ISHD) a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Nigeria. She leads ISHD in designing and implementing programmes to address issue on the social, economic, political and cultural problems in Nigeria and Africa as a continent. She is a senior professional( a Consultant) with multi-disciplinary background in the public, private and social sectors with specific experience in research, policy analysis and system architecture. Her sixteen years’ experience of high engagements in the development sector covers community and nation development through advocacy, trainings/workshops, sensitization, seminars, researches etc on community policing, traditional justice system, migration, gender mainstreaming, conflict management and peacebuilding; disaster management and early warning/response, budget and budget processes, good governance, leadership and communication monitoring and evaluation as well as office management to mention a few. She has co-authored some training manuals and blogs with more desire to publish. She possesses great experiences in community organizing and development with method PPP –public private partnership, rural participatory approach (RPA) etc Her experience have engaged different stakeholders from government ministries, department and agencies (MDAs) urban and rural women, girls and boys in-school and out-of-school, youth and men. Also, she has worked and still works with the police, the military and para-military in various way sustain peace and development. Her work or most projects of engagement have enjoyed funding from USAID-OTI, Mac-Arthur Foundation, Ford Foundation Konrad Adenuer Foundation, NoVIB Oxfam, DFID, British Council, UNDP, IOM, UNODC, EU, Global Partnership, USIP, the Norwegian Home Affairs etc. She is also currently the Depruty National Coordinator (DNC) of Innovative Initiative For Community-Based Peacebuilding (IICP), Nigeria, Zonal Analyst on Early Warning System and immediate past Focal Person of Women in Peacebuilding Network (WIPNET South West) of WANEP-Nigeria She reasonably vast travelled across the globe with strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills; excellent oral and writing communication skills; displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability; with understanding of and sensitive to the socio-cultural background of different people. She is also a critical thinker, problem solver, counselor, and pays attention to details. She is a very friendly person and down to earth in approaches and interaction with people and her environment. Olutoyin holds first and second degrees in Guidance and Counselling; and Measurement and Evaluation from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. As a teacher, she has taught English in both primary and secondary schools for some years.
