Bio:
My name is Nick Scragg and I am an 18 year old student living in Blackpool, North West England. I am hoping to study economics and politics at Newcastle university in this upcoming academic year after completing my A-levels this year in mathematics, advanced mathematics and economics. I have little experience in volunteer work however after a recent visit to Nepal I have had my eyes opened to the world around and wish to find new meaning and enjoyment in life by travelling the world, supporting and helping communities and those less fortunate than myself. I consider myself a confident speaker, good with children, active and eager to learn and develop myself and others. In my spare time I enjoy a range of sports, playing guitar and socialising (preferably outside). I have many plans for my future but mostly I hope to be a happy in whatever I am doing.
Volunteering Experience:
I recently volunteered for a brief period at an underprivaledged school Just outside of Kathmandu (Nepal) and I after teaching the children first aid and working with them on English skills I have been inspired to hopefully complete more volunteer work for lengthier amounts of time. As a footnote I also completed 3 months volunteer work at a local primary school as part of my bronze Duke of Edinburgh award 4 years back.
Education:
Just completed A-levels. Offer pending to study Politics and Economics at Newcastle University
Occupation:
Student
Other Skills:
Team working skills
Organisational and time management skills
Ability to adapt and develop to new situations and goals
