Bio:
I am an A-level student with great ambition and drive with a determination to travel. As a hardworking and creative individual, I pride myself in having great communication skills and being able to work well in a team. I am currently an employee of Primark alongside being a full time student at 6th form; I am in my final year and studying for 3 A-Levels. I have completed the Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award, where working as a team and using problem solving skills was essential in being able to hike for 3 days in an uneven landscape and be able to set up multiple camps. I have also previously volunteered as a swimming coach and have swam 5000m unaided to fundraise for UK charity Marie Curie Cancer Care. After taking a gap year to volunteer abroad and make a difference, I would love to go to University, preferably studying International Relations.
Volunteering Experience:
I have previously volunteered as a swimming coach and have fundraised for Marie Curie Cancer Care. The main reasons for wanting to join the volunteering programme is to improve the lives of others. By volunteering in less affluent regions such as Asia & Africa, I can use this opportunity to understand & experience new cultures; help others who are less fortunate and make a difference to the lives of others.
