Bio:
I am a twenty year-old student at West Virginia University. I have spent two weeks in Oaxaca, Mexico on a university sponsored trip and a semester abroad in Lima, Peru where I did more traveling throughout the country and briefly in Ecuador. I am an Eagle Scout and a member of a community service fraternity at my university. I am studying Psychology and expect to graduate in December of 2016. I have been interested in volunteering for many years and have recently changed career paths towards international aid work . I am conversational in Spanish and plan to become fluent soon. I can express my ideas well and can communicate with native speakers, normally without issue. Beyond my language capabilities, I am physically fit and used to living and adapting to different situations. I also have experience outdoors and in Crisis Intervention.
Volunteering Experience:
I have volunteered in various settings in the US, including basic construction, early education, and environmental settings. I want to get active in international volunteering, especially in education and development. I am especially interested in volunteering and working in Central and South America. I want to get my feet wet, so to speak, before searching for a career in the field of international aid work. I am looking for opportunities to volunteer in the Summer of 2016 and longer programs in 2017 after my graduation. I am especially interested in education, construction, and working with children.

I graduated from Capital High School in 2013 and I am of Senior academic status at WVU.
