Bio:
Hi! My name is Melissa. I am a recent college graduate. I got my bachelor's degree in human development and plan to apply to graduate school for occupational therapy. I love nature, going on hikes, art, meditating, and hanging out with family and friends.
Volunteering Experience:
I have worked over 100 hours with children, ages 2-6, in a school. I played with them and supervised them. I also worked in a nursing home with elderly patients suffering from Alzheimer's. There, I also supervised them, assist with things such as eating and going to the bathroom, and did activities with them. I volunteered with an occupational therapist who worked with many children. I observed her sessions as she tried to help with ADD, autism, and motor skills. I also created several projects for the clients to help with their motor skills. Another volunteer opportunity I partook in was tutoring english/writing for community college students. Lastly, I interned at a youth shelter. Residents there were seeking the shelter services because of homelessness, substance abuse, depression, home problems, school problems, and so on. I supervised the residents and did office work.
Education:

Occupation:
student
Other Skills:
