The tasks were (i) to prepare inventory and cataloguing of geological data of Bangladesh available in different organizations, (ii) conversion hardcopy data and (iii) develop a GIS based web based catalogue for Disaster Management Information Network. “GIS based Land acquisition and resettlement for Padma Bridge”—a project of Bangladesh Bridge Authority (2009-2010). Designed a GIS based software for Bangladesh Election Commission for delimitation of constituency boundaries for National Parliamentary Election 2008 using population and union boundaries. “Computerized Land Management System (CLMS) of Demra Circle”—a project of Ministry of Land (2004-2005). Land Ownership Information System for Phulbari Coal Mine Project (July 2004 – Feb 2005): Worked as Project Leader and GIS based Software developer. The responsibilities covered Management, Work plan preparation, GIS analysis, System Analysis and Design, supervise the process and software development, Presentation and reporting. A land ownership database was prepared and a GIS based Landownership Information System was developed along with the development of DEM. “Investigating the impacts of relative Sea-Level rise on Coastal Communities and their livelihoods in Bangladesh”: This project is a IWM-CEGIS joint venture project funded by DFID. Worked as CEGIS designated project leader. The objective was to find the impact of sea level rise (by Yr 2020, 2050 and 2080) on livelihood of coastal population. The works included preparation of flood-depth maps, salinity propagation and analysis of inundation using advanced GIS application to find the impach of sea level rise. “Early Warning System Study” (2004-2005): Worked as direct consultant of ADB as early warning dissemination expert. The responsibilities were to review previous studies on flood warning and prepare portfolio of projects with recommendations for EW system projects to be taken up. “Impact of Sea Level Rise in Southwest region of Bangladesh” (2005-2006): Worked as Water Resources Engineer and GIS Specialist. Responsibilities were analysis of hydrodynamic model results to assess the hydrological impact on land and land use, salinity, cropping due to sea level rise in Yr 2050 (32 cm) and Yr 2100 (88cm) using advance GIS analysis techniques. “Integrated Water Resources Management”: Primary responsibility is to assist the project leader of IWRM to develop an Analytical Framework for IWRM for WARPO, preparation of working papers, and participate in development of computational framework tools for water resource analysis and in development of DSS. “Community based Flood Information System (CFIS)”(2003-2006): Developed a GIS based software named ‘WATSURF’ for Community based Flood Information System (CFIS).
