Bio:
I was born in the USA but my parents immigrated here from South Africa. I really am both African and American! I am 22 years old and I live in Maryland, USA. My parents are both South African, and my three older siblings were born there. After they arrived in the USA my sister and I were born. They keep strong links with friends in South Africa and took us on a 5 week trip there in 2007 when my Dad had sabbatical. My Dad is an Anglican priest, but my passion has always been wild animals. I was a vegetarian for 10 years. I have completed 2 years of College pursuing Environmental Science and Biology, and took a break to discern more clearly my focus in studies. I have worked this past year and it is my dream to volunteer with animals in Southern Africa this Fall. I have up to 3 months available, technically from mid September to mid December. Currently the plan is that I would return to College in February 2016.
