Bio:
I am currently a sophomore at the University of San Diego. I am majoring in behavioral neuroscience, and I have plans for nursing school down the road! During my free time, I love reading books, cooking, playing water polo, spending time outside, and being with friends. I play the flute and piano, but I have a great appreciation for all of the arts. I would describe myself as compassionate, caring, and sociable. Similarly, my friends say that I am extremely patient and a good listener. I feel like I can connect and empathize all sorts of personalities, and I am very organized with my work. At school, I am a Resident Assistant in the freshman dorms, which gives me the opportunity to plan community-building events and to guide my residents through their first year of college. I have always found helping others to be very rewarding. At the end of every summer, I have the privilege to be a camp counselor at a week-long camp for adults with severe developmental disabilities. Working with these people always grounds me, reminding me just how simple and beautiful human connection can be. I love experiencing new things, and I alway trying to push myself so that I am constantly growing. I'll admit, sometimes this can be a little scary. However, I have faith that wherever I go and whatever I do, I can always find other good people kind enough to support me and show me the way.
