Bio:
My name is Mary. I am 28 years old. I have recently been searching for long term volunteer opportunities. Feeling that need in my life to help other people who need help or assistance. I am at a point where I have the time and small amount of resources to do so. I am open to any and all volunteers. I would prefer something community related. I try to live a simple and sustainable life, so that's what I have become passionate about, but learning more and more everyday. I have worked in a non-for-profit organization for 3 years and did learn a lot about people/families/children who struggle in their daily lives, but just need assistance or just a simple helping hand to achieve even short term goals. In general, I enjoy helping people and donating my time. I do feel more capable in some areas, but am willing to learn and participate in anything. I was also a sous chef, before my recent hiatus of "non-employment", so I do feel like I would have a lot of capabilities in working in a kitchen or even possibly teaching basic cooking skills. Writing a biography is a little difficult, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thank you.
Volunteering Experience:
No "official" volunteering experience, but I have donated time in various time and aspects of my life to help people in need. This is my first time searching out actual volunteer opportunities.
Education:
Some college, graduated technical/welding school
Occupation:
Waitress
Other Skills:
Great multi tasker
Very personable
Former sous chef (kitchen skills)
Have worked with not-for-profit organization for 3 years learning about organizing community events
