Bio:
I am 23 years old and love to travel. I am coming to the end of my 4th year in MEng Civil Engineering at Newcastle University and hope that despite getting a job i will be able to continue to explore as i have been doing these past 5 years in my holidays. When traveling I find the best way to experience and understand the place in which I am in is to become involved in local ventures, this is why I volunteer in countries i travel to so i can divulge myself in the community and my surrounds as much as possible and hopefully help a little to.
Volunteering Experience:
March 2016 Raleigh International Borneo My self and 10 other Newcastle University students built a gravity fed water system (including a dam) and Tandas in a small village of 70 people in Borneo so each house had a working tap all year around. June 2015 EcoSwell Peru I spent 2 weeks with Eco Swell gaining research for my dissertation and learning from the projects they were involved in. I conducted interviews with the local municipality and people in the village. 2011 National Youth Pilgramige to Lourds. Accompanied the ill people from our diocese and helped them enjoy and experience Lourds.
