I have a lot of experience with speech therapy sessions and spent a year babysitting a child with Autism.
Volunteering Experience:
I have participated in Big Brothers Big Sisters which is a mentor program for children struggling in school. I tutored became an outlet to a middle school student having a hard time academically and in her life at home. I spent two weeks in Cambodia teaching English and organizing a bible school through my church. During school, I volunteered my time at a private speech therapy clinic for children with hearing disabilities as well as a rehabilitation center for patients who have had strokes or traumatic brain injuries. I helped out with a program for hard of hearing children as well. At the ARC of Spokane I spent time with an older male diagnosed with Down Syndrome, just being there to talk to and make connections with.
