Bio:
Im 29 years old and I have a BA hons in forensic science and criminal investigation. My job in England is a personal assistant, I work one to one with a severely disabled adult and use non verbal communication with him. In my spare time I like walking, swimming, yoga and kickboxing. I also love to travel and experience new places, people and culture. In August 2015 I went to New Zealand to do an internship with a forensic science company, where I submitted a journal article on secondary transfer and persistence of this I decided to travel through Fiji, Hong Kong, Malaysia and finally Vietnam.
Volunteering Experience:
I have volunteered in Malaysia Borneo, in matang wildlife centre in matang. It was a paid volunteering project, but the money went straight back into the animals at matang. I did activities such as husbandry, which included cleaning out cages and feeding the animals. I also did enrichment for the animals. I absolutely loved this experience and the team at matang wildlife centre were fantastic. There is a real effort going on in Malaysia Borneo to safeguard and rehabilitate many animals, that are currently being destroyed due to the ongoing deforestation for the farming of palm oil on a mass consumerist level. Currently I'm teaching at VCV in Hanoi Vietnam, run by the wonderful ms hay. We teach in the apartment for adults and children, as well as run free classes for people that can't afford to pay for lessons. I also teach at a school in Hanoi which is for children from the ages of 4 to 12.
Education:
I have a Ba (hons) forensic science and criminal investigation. TEFL qualification.
Occupation:
Personal assistant/ care worker
Other Skills:
Like to be creative, using arts and crafts.
I can swim very well and I'm currently trying to teach my Vietnamese host how to swim.
I can do kickboxing, yoga and rock climbing.
Teach English to all levels
Hardworking and willing to learn.
