Bio:
Right out of high school I enlisted in the Navy as a Intelligence Specialist for four years. My career in the Navy taught me a lot. I met many people from all over the world. I traveled some while I was in the Navy. I was stationed in Japan for 2 years. I loved learning the culture and customs. After my time in the Navy, I was a stay at home Mom for a few years. I went to school during that time to a Vocational College and received my certificate in medical office management. I worked at a Psychologist's office for approximately one and a half years. I left that job and went into Law Enforcement. As of right now I work for San Diego County Sheriff's Dept. I am a Deputy Sheriff. I work as a Bailiff in a Court room. I have worked courts for almost 20 years now. It has been a great job, but I am looking forward to retiring soon. Which is why I am here looking into your organization. I would love to help out and travel. I enjoy helping others and traveling. I like working, but want to work doing something that I will enjoy and learn, and hopefully help make a difference. I like learning new things, about new cultures, meeting new people.
Volunteering Experience:
I have volunteered off and on over the years with different organizations. I was my son's Cub Scout Den leader for 3 years, I volunteered with my daughter's Girl Scout group. I have volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, different 5K walk/runs, Police and Fire Olympic games, my kids school events, BBQ's, Balloon and Wine festival, work functions and several other events over the years.
Education:
High School Graduate, Certificate in Medical Office Management, some law enforcement college courses
