For three months in 2006 at Wildlife Friends of Thailand: species included several types of gibbon, macaque, langur, bears (sun and Asiatic black), civets, binturong, tiger and dogs. For a long weekend in Mona, Girona, Spain: chimpanzees. Duties included: food preparation, enclosure cleaning and maintenance, creating enrichments, data collection and observation and, where appropriate, direct physical care of animals, helping vet and vet nurse etc. Duties were undertaken over long days (typically 10-12 hours) and often in challenging conditiions - in heat/humidity or cold. My primary interest is primates, mustelidae/procyonidae and raptors but I am happy to work with any species except wasps.
