Bio:
From Acworth, Georgia to New York City, from South Africa to Israel, my life has afforded me the opportunities to experience people, the joys that bring them together, and the problems that push them apart. As a videographer, avid traveler, volunteer, and nonprofit professional, my goal is to make a difference in the lives of others, bringing them together, whether that's over a shared meal or the negotiation table. Using my passion for informal education, I plan to do just that. After interning with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, studying in South Africa, teaching in Israel, and ultimately working for the Israeli Red Cross, I am now searching to take my next leap in a challenging volunteer opportunity where I can truly use my skills to make a difference.
Volunteering Experience:
Camp Kesem UGA - A one week, free summer camp for children whose parents have had or currently have cancer. I volunteered as a videographer and helped plan and implement activities. Israel Teaching Fellows - Volunteered for one year teaching English to children in Netanya, Israel. Also taught underprivileged children lacrosse and basketball after school, implementing English into the various activities. Harlem Lacrosse and Leadership - For one season volunteered as an assistant lacrosse coach in Harlem, New York.
Education:
Bachelor degree in multi-media journalism, University of Georgia, cum laude
Occupation:
Marketing Specialist and Video Editor at nonprofit
Other Skills:
