Bio:
Hello, my name is Kris! I am a 24 year old free spirited, and adventurous individual, with a Bachelor's degree in Human Communication. I want to explore the world through volunteering as a humanitarian. I am a proud feminist, and passionate about changing the world for the better in any way I can. I want to be a part of movements Worldwide that create opportunity for women to become informed, educated, and empowered. In a World where patriarchy and power rule, I think it is important for women, and male allies to stand together and fight for change. It can not be argued that all major societal changes start with one person passionate enough to rock the boat, and make a difference--even the smallest of efforts count towards a greater cause. I am willing to work in anyway I can to help promote equality and peace across the world.
Volunteering Experience:
I currently am employed with a Women's Crisis Center, where I advocate against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. I volunteered for the agency for a year before being hired on as a full time employee. I am signed up with WWOOF Ireland, France, and New Zealand as well. I have plans to volunteer on organic farms in the latter countries in 2016. I practice sustainability, and try to live a natural, organic lifestyle as much as my circumstances allow.
Education:
Bachelors of Science in Human Communication with a Minor in Business Administration
Occupation:
Intervention Advocate against Domestic Violence
Other Skills:
Certified in Mediation and Conflict Management
