Bio:
Kelly Njoku is an articulate speaker purely of an African descent. As a thoroughbred African, he has always been keen on straddling the African spirit of collectivism and the Western vision of individualism. He is a visionary who dreams of pushing back the frontiers of good leadership in Africa.
Volunteering Experience:
The grim situation of most roads are not only awful but nothing to write home about. The rate of accidents nowadays are so alarming. The number of lives lost daily constitutes a huge economic loss to the nation. The malady on our roads is even more worrisome when seen in the light of the recklessness of most drivers who ply the motor highways. Their ignorance often times, leave passengers as the most vulnerable victims. Vehicles are put on the road even when they are in poor condition. Sometimes, it is always a case of overloading vehicles with passengers and goods. As a result of this quagmire on our roads, I currently volunteer for traffic control at the Federal Road Safety Corporation especially during rainy seasons. Traffic are most intense during the ember months. It is imperative for one to orient motor drivers on the need to adopt safety precautions on the road. It is also necessary to ensure that cars plying our highways are inspected so as to prevent the loss of lives which has become prevalent. One of the reasons why i have sought this avenue as a way of giving back to the society is also as a result of inadequate manpower in certain parts of the country. There are some death traps which hardly come under the searchlight of the daily press. It has become imperative for one to stem the menace of these areas. This is why i volunteer the Federal Road Safety Commission.
