Bio:
I am a result- driven and creative person who thoroughly enjoys administrative, community services and social work. I communicate well and enjoy working with people of all levels. I am a confident and fast learner who is not afraid of new challenges. Social work is something I have always been interested in, especially working with health, mental health, children and families. Helping people overcome obstacles, difficulties and making the most of themselves is a very rewarding yet challenging career. I am a confident and fast learner who easily adapts and am not afraid of new challenges. I have more than ten years experience in customer care, most of which l obtained while working in the banking sector. Due to the passion I have for children and the elderly, l pursued studies towards a Degree in Social Work Honours, which l have successfully obtained. I am a people orientated individual who enjoys assisting people overcome obstacles and difficulties in their day to day life, while also assisting them to realize their self worth. I have a passion to listening and assisting derive strategic and lasting solutions to people’s problems. In everyday life people go through challenges that often make life seem impossible to continue. There is a saying that says “a service is only as good as the person who delivered the service”. I want to be that person. Through studying subjects such as psychology, sociology and abnormal psychology I can satisfy my interest in some of the problems that affect people and how society influences peoples actions or behaviour especially abnormal psychology that looks at the way people are characterized in society and identifies what possible behaviour they need to show to get professional assistance. In society people from all walks of life are facing various problems i.e. abuse, disabilities and mental illness. These are problems that often leave family members confused as to where to find help and more often than not the problem is often swept under the carpet. As a parent I have developed lots of new skills to care for young children, for example, communicating, planning and organizing. I am also well versed in switchboard operation, life-skills counseling, positive telephone skills, organizational Skills, verbal skills, goal oriented, good customer service, attention to details, analytical and interpersonal skills.
