Bio:
Howdy! I'm a vagabond academic looking for a sense of community, focused around common beliefs that foster a human experience. After spending time in Africa, I realized that my life can be spent doing something much more fulfilling than paying down a mortgage or driving two hours a day just to work for a company that I don't believe in. Me and my girlfriend/existential co-pilot run a small permaculture farm in the northern United States (New Hampshire) called "Pay It Forward Farm". We are both adventurers who just don't seem to fit in in our current society and it has left us eager to find a real home, whether it be temporary or permanent.
Volunteering Experience:
Abroad: 2 months spent in North Central Kenya with Sadhana Forest, focusing on reforestation, agricultural resilience, and water conservation. During this time I acquired a Permaculture Design Certificate focused on arid reforestation. Domestic: Ongoing efforts with Permacity Life to revitalize local communities with ecologically friendly principles.
Education:
University of New Hampshire, Environmental Conservation Bachelors Degree
Occupation:
Ropes Course/Zip Line Builder and Inspector
Other Skills:
Carpentry
Animal Husbandry
Permaculture techniques (arid and temperate)
Basic mechanical skills (large and small engine)
Understanding of water infrastructure (plumbing/well digging)
Basic electrical skills
