Bio:
Hi! I'm Jessica and I am very interested in helping out and making the world a better place. I'd love to have an exciting story to tell you but up to now my life has been pretty simple and, not to sound like I'm complaining, but boring. I've been working since the age of 13, did the whole university thing, got a job, moved out... that's pretty much that. I feel like I can do so much more and now seems like a good time. I have a bachelors degree in journalism, have been working in sales and customer service for the past 15 years and currently work as an event planner in Montreal (SUPER organized, great with time management, insane ability to manage stressful situations). I am very very hardworking, smart, low maintenance, creative and can just as easily work part of a team or on my own. I have never had an employer, teammate, professor be disappointed in me and I can guarantee wherever I am lucky enough to get the opportunity to volunteer will be happy to have me as well. I would like to travel with my dog if at all possible. She means the world to me. I have no or very little money so can not afford to pay for a volunteer program. A plane ticket and a bit extra for accommodations is pretty much my max. Not sure what else to include in this little blurb but please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions for me. -Jessica
Volunteering Experience:
I don't have much volunteer experience; none abroad. I am a foster home for a local animal shelter and help dogs rehabilitate after living in some pretty deplorable conditions. I have traveled for leisure (Europe, North America, Caribbean, South America) before but never for volunteering.
Education:
Bachelor degree in journalism
Occupation:
Event planner
Other Skills:
Writing
Cleaning
Organization
Cooking
