Bio:
I am currently a second-year student of Business and Economics at the University of Edinburgh where I am involved in a variety of societies that expand on my studies as well as provide variety and new challenges every day. My current extra-curricular activities include being an Officer Cadet in the City of Edinburgh Universities Officers' Training Corps, playing netball with the business society as well as Korfball, and being an active member in the Trading and Investment Society. I am very eager to get involved in different activities and am excited by any challenges that come my way.
Volunteering Experience:
My most recent volunteering experience to date is with the charity SKIP where I worked at an institute for disabled boys in Orhei, Moldova, from May to June 2015. Here I worked for around 6 hours a day helping to entertain and educate the boys, who suffered from physical or mental disabilities (sometimes both), aiming to generally promote their standards of living. Other previous volunteering experience also includes working in a local primary school helping children between the ages of 6 and 9 with their education as well as volunteering in a local charity shop, Shelter, and my secondary school's library; all over a period of 3 months at a time. I am extremely eager to volunteer and help others, which is why I am particularly interested in volunteering for organisations that aim to improve standards of living and help others gain the opportunities that I have.
