Bio:
Hello my name is Jasmine Moreno. I am an aspiring cultural anthropologist. This is not only a career direction but a dream that i need in order to full fill my purpose. I want to change the world through the perspectives of others and the different culture that are shared throughout the world. I want to help others have faith in themselves and the dreams that most try to pursue. I believe through gaining experience in traveling and being in a different culture I will be able to advance my understandings and open my mind more. I am truly a hard worker who would do anything to help the better of our world and all that inhabits it. I absolutely love hiking, knowledge, culture, children, family, art, and music
Volunteering Experience:
I have volunteered at a local Rescue Mission in town. Colorado Springs Rescue Mission was a non profit organization that ran a "store" like business. All the donated items would need to be organized like a store for anyone to everyone, including the homeless and the very needy, to go in three at a time early mornings and take any clothing or housing materials they could carry with them. It allows for the ones in poverty to be able and select maybe a nice outfit for an interview, shampoo, or even books for there children. I had the responsibility of organizing and cleaning the store making sure that racks were full yet organized. i also counted and help document the amount of things that were taking out of there. I had the great opportunity to help and get to know people of all places in life and truly be a part of making resources just a little easier to obtain for those in need. I also volunteer at an adult day care. This day care is ran by a wonderful woman named Bonnie. She is not the only one holding down the fort though. she is accompanied by four other regular women who truly put there hearts in creating a place where the disadvantaged and disabled senors can get a break from life as well as give a break to there care takers. At this day care we learned songs, and played a lot of mind games. I also had to study on Alzheimer and different diseases.
Education:
I am a sophomore in college for Cultural Anthropology
Occupation:
Waitress at a middle eastern restaurant
Other Skills:
Cpr and first aid certified.
