Bio:
My name is Jackie Hill and I am 23 years old and as long as I can remember helping people has always been my passion. I am the fifth child of seven and I grew up in a single mother home in Baton Rouge, La. I always become discourage when asked to describe myself because I'm not quite sure what a person really want to know about me, is it my social class, my educational level, my ethnicity, or the basic, what do I do or where I am from? As if this defines me. Well currently these categories only scratch the surface of who I am. I am the strength that holds my family or coworkers together in crisis. I am the kindness and patience that give patients comfort when they are extremely uncomfortable. I am what some might call "speedy gonzalez" because I am a quick learner and efficient. I am a leader and caregiver by nature. My future goals including running my own Non-Profit Organization one day that focus on feeding, clothing, sheltering the less fortunate. Creating programs that teaches self-love and build mental stability and independence. As far as growing your own foods, parenting classes, self-awareness, disaster preparations, and etc. I am also currently in school getting a Bachelor degree in Human Services concentration with children and families, which is my short term goal. My long term goal is to receive my PhD.D in Psychology.
Volunteering Experience:
I have volunteered once at Gardena Memorial Hospital in Gardena, CA. The position was for experience as a Medical Assistant. I have given to the homeless food and clothing on my own behalf , helped raise younger siblings and relatives. I have raised funds for churches and funerals. I am currently seeking a project that will give me the opportunity to help create outlets for people fighting traumatic circumstances, try to guide children in the right direction, a chance to possibly give them reasons to want better, help create hope where it is lost, and ultimately assist the many people that need help in areas where help is limited the most.
Education:
High School Dip , Medical Assistant Cert. ,University of Phoenix Bacheor, Human Services Prog.
Occupation:
Medical Assistant/ Rural Health Pediatrics Clinic
Other Skills:
Ability to lead, organize, work great with children, great listener, and passion for people
