Bio:
My name is Isabel Espejo, and I was born in Seville (Spain) in 1995. I finished all my studies at the school and now I study my third year of Law degree in the University of Seville. I speak fluent English (C1) and have basic knowledge in French. When I was 17, I went with a studentship to Slovenia, where students from every country of the European Union debated about Human Rights and other materias. My hobbies are dancing, reading and traveling. Next year I should get the title, and then I want to continue studying to become a judge. However, last year I had a teacher that -I think- teached me as no one did. He made me more concerned about the problems of all those countries where Human Rights are no respected, and as him, I would like to use my future profession to help all these countries. I consider myself too passionate to stay here in my country with so much comfort and nothing that can fill my life. I love children and animals (I am a volunteer teaching children in a slum, and cleaning and entertaining animals in a dog refuge).
Volunteering Experience:
I've never been a volunteer abroad, but here in my city (Seville), I teach children from a slum, and entertain elderly people in a residence. I really love doing this. I feel that I can give them something that I can't give to people who normally surround me, but specially, they give me something that I can't find anywhere else. They teach me the real sense in life. I also love animals, and this year I have started helping in a dogs refuge. I started helping as a volunteer in Seville when I was 16 years old. I currently continue doing this but I feel that I should go abroad to understand better what I can see everyday on the TV. Last year I did a proyect with a teacher at the University about Sahara people's rights (I study Law), and we gave a conference about it for all the students who could be interested in. This made me be more concerned about the situations of all these countries, where The Human Rights are not respected.
