Bio:
I am a 25 years old student, originally coming from Lithuania, currently living and studying in Germany. In few months I am finishing my Master degree studies in Intercultural Communication and European Studies and have a strong desire to engage myself in volunteering activities for some months. Since high school, I developed a great interest in languages and intercultural communication. The attendance of high school with focus on German language and culture provided me with first opportunities to participate in many intercultural and international projects. These early experiences have already contributed to my open-minded personality eager to explore the world. After graduation from secondary school, I studied German Philology at the Vilnius University in my home country Lithuania, which I successfully finished it with a Bachelor degree in 2013. During my study years I was continuously engaged in international projects and trainings, supervised exchange students coming from other countries. My strong curiosity about the world and interest in different cultures encouraged me to further develop my knowledge, skills and competencies in intercultural communication and global issues so that I applied for further studies in Germany. I could describe myself as an open-minded personality strongly convinced of equal rights and opportunities in the global community and workforce, recognizing and appreciating the value of social and cultural diversity. I have a positive, joyful attitude towards the world, life and people, always willing to share my positive energy for the welfare of others.
Volunteering Experience:
While living in my hometown, I have been voluntary active in my local Church community, supporting their activities and engagement for people in need, especially children from disadvantaged families.
Education:
Bachelor Degree in German Philology, Master Degree in Intercultural Communication (December 2015)
Occupation:
Student
Other Skills:
Good organisational and teamworking skills
Experience in working with children
