i, Ijeoma Ukwuegbu is an avid and diligent Medical laboratory scientist, with experience in performing complex clinical laboratory assays and who constantly updates herself on recent medical knowledge, applies it to local content within the scope of laboratory policies and procedure; contributes positively to achieving the vision and cultural expectations of the organisation through professional behavior and laboratory expertise, identifying prospects and contributing to improvement in quality, safety and cost, resulting in optimal patient health care and customer satisfaction. Other core competencies include: • Adherence to standards of quality and excellence • Risk management; troubleshooting • Inventory management; requirement analysis • Strong oral, written, communication and presentation skills • Uncommon ability to remain calm and efficient in stressful situations • Outstanding computer skills: Predictive Analytic Software (IBM SPSS), Microsoft Office Suite and Internet application As a current and validly licensed laboratory scientist, I produce timely and reliable results in diligence and conscientiousness which aids the accurate diagnosis that results in a healthy patient and a consequently healthy community. The core competencies such as my investigative prowess, client management, in depth and constant learning and knowledge application have been groomed over 4 years of work experience. I believe passionately in individuals being enlightened and proactively responsible for their health care through preventable measures and seeking professional medical care. This impression, I live in family, every patient, friend or acquaintance I come in contact with, one at a time. My venture into epidemiology has given me a deeper insight on the invaluable socio-economic, climate/environmental and other potential benefits of proactive public health decisions at the individual, local and global levels.
