Bio:
I am a driven, determined and decisive individual who is very approachable and social. My leisure activities are sporting and when I’m not studying I am usually by the river training for flat water kayaking. I’m a national athlete and represented team Great Britain in Belgium in February where I came fourth. Last year I won a bronze national medal in 1000m at the National Water Sports Centre, Nottingham. I believe my intense training has shown that I am an extremely dedicated individual; In addition, racing in many crew boats and training with fellow sportsmen and Olympians in the past three years has allowed me to work in a team environment. I have used this experience to benefit others through coaching and charity events. I have completed a 125 mile flat water kayaking marathon from Devizes to Westminster where I finished third out of sixty-three competitors. During this race I managed to raise over £800 for the Teenage Cancer Trust. In the future I have aspirations for the 2020 Japan Olympics and world championship selection within the next few years.
