Bio:
Highly motivated University student aspiring to pursue a rewarding career in education. My desire to give back began at a young age during the time I studied Health and Human Development in my senior years in High School. This broadened my view of the world and deepened my interest in issues relating to global health and education. I strongly believe that education and awareness is a fundamental human right and it is key to creating significant change as it empowers each individual and instills the vision and motivation to contribute a more sustainable future.
Volunteering Experience:
World Vision Australia: Working closely; participating and promoting several campaigns with World Vision to encourage Australians to take action against poverty & injustice. Fundraising for the 40Hour Famine, 2007-2013 Each year, AMES Australia assists over 40,000 people by providing humanitarian settlement, education, training and employment services for refugees and newly arrived migrants. I am a fully trained English tutor volunteering at AMES Australia working with newly arrived migrants and refugees to learn English, make links to the community and understand the Australian way of life.
