Bio:
My name is Ezekiel Vredenbregt, and I am 18 years old. Blonde hair and blue eyes, I enjoy fishing, camping, and playing tennis. An active member of my church, Asbury United Methodist Church, I also enjoying spending time with my friends. I plan to attend the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in the fall of 2016, and hopefully major in Spanish and Education, and Minor in french and foreign relations. I am Methodist, and I love serving the community, foreign and domestic. One of my beliefs is that making a difference in someone else life can make all the difference in yours. I do not have lots of money, which is why I believe this is a fantastic opportunity for both me, to make a difference in someone's life, and hopefully they will make a difference in mine . I am very social, and can adapt well to virtually any environment. I love working with people, but more than that, I love connecting with different people and hearing their stories.
Volunteering Experience:
My volunteering experience ranges from working at the world's largest Brat fest in support of the special Olympics, to traveling to Nassau, Bahamas to help build a hurricane shelter at the All Saints AIDS Camp. Besides small volunteer work, such as United Methodist day of service, I also worked with the Next Step crew in Memphis, Tennessee, where we repaired roofs for elderly members in the inner city. This was for a week, which also included inter-relational ministry to help strengthen the bond between the community and the Next Step volunteers. As previously mentioned, I also had the privilege of traveling to Nassau, Bahamas, where I, along with thirty other members of the church worked on multiple projects including constructing a dinning hall, a hurricane shelter, and residential housing for the members of the All Saints AIDS camp. Again, a large portion of our time was spent getting to know the people there and learning from their stories.
Education:
High School Degree
Occupation:
Landscaper
Other Skills:
I am great with people.
I am famiilar with power tools and repairs.
I am a very fast learner.
