Bio:
I am originally from Brazil, where I lived most of my life. Recently graduated in a Master's Program in Electrical Engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York, United States, where I've been living for the past two years. Now that I am back at Brazil, after meeting people from all over the world and traveling to many different places, I was about to start my professional career but on my flight back to Brazil from US I met a girl who opened up my mind about the world and the needs of other countries. I've always been stuck to my routine of studying and working and now I feel like I need a different experience, an experience to help make a change and give it back a little bit of the knowledge I acquired during all these years I've been studying to the people in need. That is why I am now looking for volunteer experiences where I will be able to teach something or help people, especially children in need, be that an English or French lesson or maybe soccer or other sport. I am seriously devoted to postponing my professional ambitions and desires to invest my time making some good to the world.
Volunteering Experience:
- DAELE: Electrical Engineering Students Union at UFRGS Voluntarily participated as CFO in the group that reactivated the student union for the electrical engineering students at UFRGS, helping organize extracurricular courses, lectures among other services. Mar/2012 - Dez/2013 - AAEE: Athletics Association of the Engineering School at UFRGS During two academic years, I voluntarily participated as the co-founder and marketing director of the Athletics Association of the Engineering School. Among the core responsibilities, I was responsible for creating and advertising events, managing social networks and support to the associate students via Facebook. - CEUE: Center of Engineering School Students at UFRGS Participated in the group that reactivated, after decades, the center of engineering students at the university. I was responsible for creating, quoting and releasing new products to the engineering school students such as athletic gear and other accessories.
