Bio: 
First-year criminology student at Durham University, motivated and dedicated with a solid commitment to the academic growth of each individual. Keen to use strong specific and transferable skills gained from employment, academic and extra-curricular experience. I am committed to bringing out the potential of each individual. I can work in a team and individually, using my own initiative to complete tasks. I am an enthusiastic participator in dance for 12 years including jazz, street and contemporary dance, I took part in various competition, I am a member of the Durham University Gymnastics team which i focussed on developing my teamwork skills. I am also a member of the Hatfield Cheerleading team; developing teamwork and problem-solving skills. Additional Skills and achievements: • ‘The challenge’- involves building a more integrated society and making changes in the community, developing personal development and social action. • ‘Experience’ role in the sixth form- I was a ‘voice’ for the students and took part in public speeches. • Bronze medal at the Dragon Boat Championships in Hungary in a team of 22 • Acted as Sports captain and Dance captain; focussed on organisation, motivating others and working in groups. • Cycled from Vienna to Budapest • Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award • Nightline trained- developed active listening skills • Volunteered at a charity shop- assisting the homeless volunteers.

Work Experience/Volunteering September 2013- June 2015 Accelerate Academy Dance Teacher- • Responsible for various dance classes which involved registering, choreographing, managing time and being responsible for 30 children. • Developed leadership skills, how to discipline students and how to use my own initiative in order to be an effective leader. 2014 Edge Hill University Tomorrow’s teaching • Worked alongside a teacher, assisting the students and observing various classes. • Learned how to deal with a variety of situations involving the students, and I observed the commitment, hard work and engagement of the teacher. 2014 Burnley Community Solutions • Received full support work training, delivered food bags to those in need, answered phone calls to provide support and responsible for tidying the community. • I dealt with drug users, people with mental and physical issues, homeless people and anyone in need of a chat. 2012-2013 Turkey and Cyprus Water-sports coach and boat driver • Assisted British Water Ski and Wakeboard Coach, taught children and adults how to water ski, wakeboard, kneeboard and mono-ski. • Ensured sports and safety equipment was fitted correctly and assisted individuals in the water, which developed my communication and organisation skills.
