Bio:
My name is Eloise Tyner. I am a junior at the University of Mississippi pursuing a double major in Public Policy Leadership; Arabic. In the past, I have interned for the House Committee on Homeland Security and the Winter Institute for Racial Reconciliation, and worked for Camp DeSoto, a girls' camp atop Lookout Mountain. Being the third of five children, I have developed resilience and a deep empathy for others. My home state, Mississippi, has taught me humility and has shown me how to mediate conflict. I am looking forward to serving internationally as well as in my home state.
Volunteering Experience:
I've worked with the Winter Institute for Racial Reconciliation; this involved various secretarial duties as well as conducting workshops and other community engagements. I have volunteered in childcare at my local church, as a worker in a local food pantry, and worked in a variety of local volunteer groups, largely as a manual laborer. Other organizations I've supported include Make a Wish, Relay for Life, Pack the Bus, Adopt-a-Basket, and Green Grove.
