Bio:
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States has made me into the passionate lover of nature and adventure that I am. I love to explore, discover, and share with others the vast world we live in and that is why I cant wait to use volunteer opportunities to learn about and explore other cultures and ways of life. My years spent working in a local Veterinary Clinic have taught me an incredible array of skills I hope to put to use wherever I can. The time I spent there was inspiring to say the very least, and I want to see other people inspired by the difference they are making in any area of work. In my spare time I love to create and photograph, I take pictures of the places I find and use it to inspire my drawing and painting. I'm currently taking a few classes at my local community college after spending a year in university. I'm interested in pursuing Nutrition and Psychology but have not yet decided how I want to use these in a career. I am also considering beginning schooling to become a Veterinary Assistant.
Volunteering Experience:
Peer Tutor for Special Needs students. Elementary School Reading Tutor. Building local community rain gardens. Youth soccer coaching. Multiple years of local fair setup. Local community christmas drive for people in need. Organized garbage pickup in Bellingham Parks.
Education:
Some College
Occupation:
Retail Manager
Other Skills:
Worked at a Veterinary Clinic as a kennel aid for two years, assisting doctors and patients.
Volunteered in special needs classrooms for many years.
