Bio:
Hi! My name is Ellie, I am currently an exchange student in Chile, and after I finish high school in the USA, I am looking to do a gap year. I love backpacking, although I feel a huge desire to make a change in this world and because of this, I am looking to do volunteer work abroad. I am open to anything, and do not have a specific path that I wish to follow, so I am looking into many programs. Decisions are very difficult when everything sounds amazing!!
Volunteering Experience:
In High School, I have volunteered in clubs to help with blood drives, organize school activities, and participate with running donation programs to help students that are in need. In Chile, I have taught classes of Spanish to other exchange students that needed help learning the language, and also taught English classes to community members through my local Rotary Club. I volunteered with local Crab-feeds and fundraisers to raise money for the sports programs in my school. I was a director for 2 years for "Mr. Mac High," a year long fundraiser and talent show to raise money for a Children's Hospital. I am seeking to volunteer in many different paths in the future, and do not have anything specific in mind as of right now.
Education:
I am yet to graduate high school, and will do so in 2017, before going abroad to volunteer.
