Bio:
I am a 21 year old university student at George Mason, pursuing a degree in Economics, with a focus in Public Policy. George Mason happens to be located in my hometown, Fairfax Virginia. Fairfax is a suburb of Washington D.C., an area whose lifeblood is the federal government and whose population heralds from all corners of the world. As such, the democratic process has become the areas, ‘leisure activity of choice’, and thus an interest of mine since the formative years of my youth. It has become a passion of mine to understand the relation of the citizen to the government, and respectively the various forms of government. Aside from my ‘scholarly’ endeavors, I enjoy writing and shooting film. I primarily make films that one might consider to be, ‘indie dramas’, I also enjoy making documentaries. As well, I have done some freelance work creating artisan videos for small local businesses.
Volunteering Experience:
Habitat for Humanity: Catalog construction donations, and facilitate the respective sale of these items. The proceeds from these items would facilitate the construction of low income habitations in Fairfax County Internship – Fairfax County Board of Supervisors: Constituent based work, Written letter, email, phone and in person interaction. Issue research and project creation.
Education:
Associates Degree of Science, pursuing Economics Degree with a focus in public policy
