Bio:
I was born and raised in Austria until I was 16 and then moved to the United States as a son of missionaries. Growing up as a third culture kid provided me with a unique opportunity to see much of the world and internalize many different world views. The more I saw of the world and the many problems impoverished communities around the world faced, the harder it became for me to justify not only complaining about any of my own problems, but to sit idly by. I know this isn't the most eloquently written profile or explanation as to why I want to volunteer, but I hope it just comes across that I truly believe that I have no moral justification for not helping when I could.
Volunteering Experience:
From my earliest memories on my parents always took in foster children, usually requiring an advanced level of care. During college I worked as a paraprofessional one on one worker with behaviorally challenged boys, but during the budget crisis my job was eliminated so I continued it on a volunteer basis for as long as I could. After transitioning into a career as a personal trainer I have volunteered countless sessions for various philanthropic organizations, including cancer research and the local jewish community center In addition I also volunteer monthly reading services to underprivileged elementary schools
Education:
Associates Degree in General Education, NASM Certified Personal Trainer, NASM MMACS & CES
Occupation:
Personal Tainer & Fitness Instructor
Other Skills:
Performing Arts (Stand up comedy, acting, magic)
