Bio:
Hello! My name is Danielle, I'm 22 years of age and live in Wales, U.K. My interests range from politics to civil rights and social action to disaster and humanitarian relief. I studied History at University and was particularly interested in social history - the study of experiences of ordinary people in ordinary working-class communities. This interest has evolved into a desire to volunteer in under-privileged communities and really make a meaningful difference to worthwhile causes around the world.
Volunteering Experience:
During high school I completed the Duke of Edinburgh (Silver) Award Scheme, a volunteer youth award programme involving physical endurance, life skills and expedition. After graduating, I decided that I wanted to get a career within the third sector and so applied for numerous roles within leading UK charities. I am now volunteering as an Events and Marketing intern for Cancer Research UK, which maximises on my interests, whilst raising valuable funds for an important mission. I am seeking volunteer work which will undoubtedly enhance the skills I already encompass, alongside gaining a new and unique insight into life in a foreign community.
